  MOM with PBAPP for JICA's Grassroots Technical Cooperation Project
 
 
 Tokyo Suido Services Co., Ltd. (TSS), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang (PBAPP) have signed an MOM (Minutes of Meeting) for the NRW (Non-Revenue Water) Reduction Technology Training and Capacity Building Project, a JICA’s grassroots technical cooperation project (local economic promotion type) in Malaysia.

2.Purpose of the Project
TSS provides experts as trainers to develop specialists in non-revenue water (NRW) reduction technology in PBAPP, who in turn train water utility employees from every state, contributing to NRW reduction all over Malaysia.
 
3.Main Activities
(1)A piping training field with leak detectors and other equipment necessary for reducing NRW will be established in PBAPP.
(2)Experts will be dispatched from TSS to provide technical instructions to PBAPP regarding piping, leak detection and other NRW technology.
(3)TSS will invite PBAPP employees to share the NRW reduction practices and O & M of the waterworks and train on water supply, construction and plumbing technology and quality management in Tokyo.
