Hydraulic and water quality survey

We set instruments on hydrants or air valves to continuously measure hydraulic and water quality and accurately monitor water distribution to check if safe, palatable water is steadily supplied,.

  • The hydraulic survey measures water pressure, and flow rate and direction.
  • The water quality survey measures residual chlorine, electric conductivity and water temperature.

We survey stagnant water reduction or flow rate and direction changes before and after a systematic change of distribution networks, and propose tailored solutions according to the needs of water utilities.

Hydraulic / Water-quality Sensor

The photo shows a sensor simultaneously measuring and recording six items of hydraulic and water quality data from hydrants or air valves.

Installing the sensor on the existing distribution pipe-related equipment (hydrants or air valves) makes it possible to measure and record six items of hydraulic and water quality data (flow rate, flow direction, water pressure, residual chlorine, electric conductivity and water temperature).
If these sensors are used in parallel, hydraulic and water quality data such as changes in flow and water quality can be analyzed within a given area of a pipe network.
The data can be used as basic parameters for network analysis and assessment of maintenance operations.

The pressure gauge can easily measure and record water pressure through the distribution pipe ?related equipment (such as hydrants). Pressure can be measured in any place with distribution pipe -related equipment and even a little space.
The data collected from each measuring place can be used for more efficient maintenance work and appropriate pressure-controlled operation.
