Application Review and Inspection of Service Installation

A service installation directly connected to distribution pipes consists of: service pipes branching from utilityfs distribution pipes: and stop valves, meters and faucets that are directly connected to service pipes.
Since service installations are directly connected to a distribution pipe, contamination originating from service installations may affect a large number of users.
For this reason, water utilities should carefully check the structures and materials of service installations to be provided or modified.
TSS has received a contract from Bureau of Waterworks, Tokyo Metropolitan Government to review, design and inspect service installations, and replace meters.

Inspection of tank supply system (receiving tank)

A tank supply system is a general term for a receiving tank, an elevated tanks or a pressurized tank and elated equipment. The system should be constructed by taking into sufficient consideration of safety and easy access for maintenance and prevention of contamination.
The water downstream of the receiving tank should be duly controlled by the owner of the system(or building owner).
Since 2004, Bureau of Waterworks, Tokyo Metropolitan Government has been making efforts to check tank construction and maintenance, and water quality such as residual chlorine, as its most important challenges of Safe, Palatable Water Project. TSS has received a contract from Bureau of Waterworks to inspect and investigate tank supply systems.
Based on the results of the investigation, we provide system owners with information and advise to properly maintain the tank supply system or convert to direct supply systems.
Since 2010, we have also been surveying residual chlorine consumption in tank supply systems and proposed solutions for places where much of chlorine is consumed or tank water is less frequently replaced.
